Taxonomy According to A.M. Clark (1989: 206): A synonym (or "race") of P. affinis E.A. Smith 1876 according to Fisher (1940); treated as a subspecies of P. affinis by A.M. Clark (1962) and Guille (1974) but doubtfully distinct according to Downey in Clark & Downey (1992).
