Validity non L. alternata (Say, 1825) probably consubspecific with L. sagamina aciculata Mortensen, 1933. Since bicolor antedates both L. sagamina and L. aciculata but the type is lost, preventing confirmation or otherwise, suppression by the ICZN is desirible. [details]
