Homonymy A junior homonymy of CtenasterL. Agassiz, 1836 according to Fisher (1908) and renamed Laetmaster. However under Article 54 of the ICZN, Agassiz's citation of Ctenaster only as an MS name synonymous with Asterina Nardo 1834 does NOT give it status as a senior homonym. So Ctenaster Perrier 1881 needs to be formally suppressed by the ICZN to preserve the better-known Laetmaster. See A.M. Clark 1996: 186 [details]
