Description Disc covered by fine imbricated scales, one slightly larger plate in each interradius dorsally. Radial shields three times as long as broad, length one-third of the disc radius. Oral shields as long as broad (usually longer and somewhat narrowed at distal end), proximal angle rounded or blunt. Adoral plate rounded triangular. Aboral arm plates fan-shaped, broader than long, basal angle slightly truncated, narrowly in contact with the next plate. Oral arm plates slightly longer than broad, hexagonal, distal side convex, proximal side truncated. Two tentacle scales, the outter one rounded, the inner one narrow. Eight arm spines basally, the six spines, the upppermost one the longest, length slightly longer than the arm segment. Habitat: sand, mud flats (Balinsky, 1957). [details]
