Remark On current information this taxon will key out to Bellorchestia or Orchestia depending on character selection. Need information on mandible left lacinia mobilis, maxilliped palp article 4, gnathopod 1 palmate seta lobes, pereopod 4 carpus and dactylus, pereopods 5 to 7 simpli- or cuspidactylate (probably cuspidactylate). One character not in favour of Bellorchestia is the palmate seta lobes on male gnathopod 1. In O. gambierensis they are present on the carpus and propodus and there may be a small lobe on the merus. In Bellorchestia there is only a palmate setal lobe on the propodus. In Bellorchestia the dactyli of the perepopods are simplidactylate. Another possiblility is Transorchestia. [details]
