Description Colonies are submassive, usually with encrusting margins. Corallites are thick-walled, conical, with calices approximately 2 mm in diameter. Colour: usually brown or green but may be wide range of other colours. Abundance: usually uncommon but may form conspicuous dome-shaped colonies on upper reef slopes. Unlike other Turbinaria, this species is seldom found in turbid waters (Veron, 1986). [details]
