Etymology The specific epithet longiantennata is composed by the Latin prefix longi-, meaning 'long', and the Latin adjective antennata, meaning 'having antennae', and refers to the long antennae of the species, which separates it from the rest of the species in the genus: "Vier lange, cirren- bis fadenförmige Antennen, etwas länger als Prostomiumbreite. [...] S. longiantennata n. sp. unterscheidet sich von den übrigen Arten der Gattung besonders durch die langen Antennen" (Hartmann-Schröder, 1981: 23). [details]
