Status As commented on by Qiu & Qian (2000: 1127) the variety 'manilensis' of Pillai (1965) is an unavailable name (they use the word 'invalid') as it is a variety published after 1960 (Code article 15.2), when varieties ceased to be allowed. However, Qiu & Qian also comment that the specimens in their opinion are normal morphology Leonnates decipiens. Thus on external morphology the proposed name does not represent a subspecies or different species. [details]
