Editor's comment unexplained recombination as checklist listing only. There appears to be no usage elsewhere, and the original taxon probably does not occur in New Zealand although reported by Augener (1926) who synonymised the New Zealand Capitellethus dispar with the Indian Notomastus zeylanicus. Noting also that the zeylanicus name is a reference to Sri Lanka (Ceylon), not New Zealand. The name similarity seems to be just a coincidence but might have misled later workers to think the species had New Zealand connections. [details]
