Identification Most probably the taxon here dealt with is a case of infra-specific variation of the species commonly referred to as Turritella fortilirata G. B. Sowerby III, 1914. At present, however, it is accepted awaiting futher examination of type material and a larger amount of material from Japan and adjacent regions. [details]
