Classification Calamyzinae was first used by Hartmann-Schröder (1971) as a subfamily in Syllidae for Calamyzas Arwidsson, 1932. It was at various times separated from Syllidae as distinct at family level (Fauchald, 1977) or returned to Syllidae (Glasby, 1993). Asetocalamyzas Tzetlin, 1985 was added to the family, but was later found to be an aberrant spionid. Now Calamyzinae is part of Chrysopetalidae and contains in addition to Calmyzas the genera formerly comprising Nautiliniellidae. These are Genera Flascarpia Blake, 1993, Iheyomytilidicola Miura & Hashimoto, 1996, Laubierus Blake, 1993, Miura Blake, 1993, Mytilidiphila Miura & Hashimoto, 1993, Natsushima Miura & Laubier, 1990, Nautiliniella Miura & Laubier, 1990, Petrecca Blake, 1990, Santelma Blake, 1993, Shinkai Miura & Laubier, 1990, Thyasiridicola Miura & Hashimoto, 1996, Vesicomyicola Dreyer, Miura & Van Dover, 2004, Nautilina Miura & Laubier, 1989 (accepted as Nautiliniella Miura & Laubier, 1990) [details]
