The present material was collected by C. Berrisford at the Natal coast near Durban. It consists of 39 species of which six species, four subspecies, and one genus are new to the science and are described. In zoogeographical view there are among the 24 known species eight endemic, five circumtropically and four worldwidely distributed species. 12 species are strongly restricted to sandy substrates and only one species lives on soft bottoms. The widely distributed species occur on different kinds of bottom.
