The Dorvilleidae are represented in the Argentine Biogeographic Province by six species arranged in four genera. One of those species (recorded by Hartman, 1953) was not found in the collections studied. Pettiboneia sanmatiensis gen. et sp.nov. is here described. Three species and two genera are new records for the studied area.
