Diagnosis Thalassometridae with centrodorsal hemispherical or truncated conical to columnar, in some species 5-sided columnar with 10 columns of cirrus sockets separated by interradial ridges and wide radial furrows. Arms as many as 14 (typically 10), distal brachials aborally rounded. Secundibrachials 2 or 4. Proximal brachials carinate or subcarinate, smooth, with straight or everted margins. [details]
