Chætopterus Sarsii was first found at Grip near Christiansund by v. Duben, who (0fversigt av Vetensk. ,Akad. Forh. for 1844) reported it as "a new species, standing between C. norvegicus and C. pergamentaceus Cuv.", without however, to give it the name it has received from Prof. C. Boeck (Forhandl. in Vid. SeIsk. in Christiania for 1859 p. 252), who found it at Beian at the outlet of Trondhjems Fjord; later it is also found by Asbjørnsen at Raue in the Christianiafjord at 50 F. D. and by me close to the town of Christiansund' at 20"-30 F. D., Skjælsand, everywhere as it seems rare." [details]
