From other sources
Reproduction Breeds from Newfoundland and Labrador to Alaska and south throughout most of the United States. Winters from southern Canada to Central America and the West Indies. Nest is a chamber at the end of a long burrow dug in a suitable bank at the side of a lake or stream. Eggs are laid from late May to mid June. [details]
