Taxonomy This combination has not been published but its affilation was inferred from the fact that Koltun mentioned that the styles may have spines (a character of Trachytedania. Cristobo & Urgorri (2001) did not include the present species in their concept of Trachytedania, so the species is reassigned to Tedania as a likely member of subgenus Tedaniopsis (because the ectosomal tylotes apparently lack microspined heads).
