Description Colonies are massive. Corallites are plocoid to subdendroid, that is, they are protuberant tubes rather than conical ones. Polyps are extended only at night. Colour: usually mottled brown and green or brown and cream. Abundance: uncommon except on some back reef margins in shallow water. (Veron, 1986 <57>) [details]
