New combination Heteromastides bifidus moves to Scyphoproctus by virtue of synonymy of its genus. Da Silva & Amaral (2019: 98) do not explicitly recombine the species in Scyphoproctus, or list it as a member of the genus, but synonymize its genus Heteromastides, and state for H. bifidus that "it is also a Scyphoproctus species" [details]Type locality Freemantle Harbour, Western Australia, 3 m in sand [details]
Type specimen Zoologische Museum, Hamburg. Da Silva & Amaral (2019: 98), who synonymized the genus Heteromastides with Scyphoproctus, stated that "type material of Heteromastides bifidus Augener, 1914, type-species of the genus, could not be examined" by them, but they do not state the reason why not.
