Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Blake (2000: 63): ''Prostomium short, conical; eyes absent. Thorax with achaetous peristomium, 12 setigers; neurosetae present on setiger 1. Noto- and neurosetae of setigers 1-10 with capillaries only, setigers 11-12 hooded hooks in noto- and neuropodia; abdominal setigers with hooded hooks. Branchiae present.
