Homonymy Original name Hermione parva Horst, 1916 was effectively a Laetmonice from the synonymy by Pettibone (1966) of Hermione (replacement name Hermonia) into Laetmonice. Thus Laetmonice parva Amaral & Nonato, 1982 is a secondary homonym to Laetmonice parva (Horst, 1916). The new combination of the older name was too late to be in the Hartman Catalogue supplement, and may not have been used until Hutchings & Mcrae (1993) examined the type material.  [details]
