Type specimen Holotype (USNM 19392) from Marshall Islands, Pacific Ocean. According to Salazar-Vallejo (2020: 83) the holotype is dried out and distorted (his figure 46). However, despite this, the taxon it represents is recognizably unique for the type of pharynx armature. [details]
