Editor's comment Quatrefages (1866: 334) included the French name form Marphyse hemasone for the species he named Marphysa haemasona (he always gave the French name with the Latin name). However, the source of this record with spelling as Marphysa hemasoma (soma with an 'm') has yet to be found (databasing error? [details]
