Etymology The specific epithet rotundipapillata, formed by the Latin words rotundi, from rotundus and meaning 'round' or 'spherical', and papillata, from papillatus and meaning 'having nipples or buds', refers to the presence of numerous and relatively big spherical to ovoid papillae covering heavily the dorsal and ventral body surface posterior to the pharynx.
