Depth range From low tide to less than 200 m. Pettibone (1962) recorded the species from about 460 m (250 fathoms).
Distribution Northeast Pacific Ocean, from Alaska to California.

Habitat More common on sandy sediments, but also found in mud, normally from subtidal to less than 200 m. [details]
Reproduction Gravid specimens found in March in British Columbia (USNM 81750), and in May and June in California (CAS 153860, 134768). [details]
