Etymology Author: Myzostoma nanseni is "named in honour of Mr. Fridtjof Nansen." At that time Nansen, not yet a famous explorer, was a young Norwegian biologist and he published two articles on Myzostomida, including some taxonomy. He had earlier named Myzostoma graffi Nansen, 1885. [details]
