Taxonomy There is confusion over the use of Scolelepis in connection with Malacoceros. Scolelepis Blainville, 1828 is not the Scolelepis of Fauvel and others. Some of the latter recombinations had 'horns' rather than a conical prostomium and are thus Malacoceros today. [details]
