Editor's comment Fischli used an unusual form of name layout in his headings in which Serpula was the main genus but below he presented the new var name as if it was in genus Hydroides. This is easy to overlook, and Hartman catalogue (p.579) thus recorded the name formulation wrongly as H. multispinosa ternatensis. [details]
