Spelling Ostroumoff (1886a and 18896b) published two variants of the name in tha same year. Although the spelling in 1896b Maeotias inexspectata antedates the spelling Maeotias inexspectata for a few months, the paper 1896a is the original publication and the name is repeated several times as inexspectata. Therfore, the spelling "inexspectata" should be retained as the correct one [details]
