Neotype Peñas & Rolán (1997) selected a neotype "for Eulimella monolirata De Folin, 1874", which presuambly refers to Aclis monolirata De Folin, 1873, from Hong Kong (not Noemia monolirata De Folin, 1873 (p. 180, also from Hong-Kong). This neotype designation is invalid because the authors did not state what steps they took to locate the type material, and because the selected specimen comes from Ghana, not Hong Kong. Van Aartsen et al. (2000) rejected the neotype and reidentified the specimen as Eulimella gofasi. [details]
