Grammatical gender masculine, as determined by ending -oides (ICZN art. 30.1.4.4); the type species was spelled inflata in d'Orbigny (1839) but (1) this is subsequent and (2) Heliconoides is treated as a subgenus of Atlanta, with which the specific epithet in in agreement. [details]
