Type locality Off Hachihama, Kojima Bay, Seto Inland Sea, Okayama Prefecture, Japan (34°07'20"N, 133°07'20"E; the provided geocoordinates are misplaced and are corrected here to 34°34'20"N, 133°56'20"E, 34.5722°, 133.9389°). According to Sato (2013: 25) the orignal estuarine habitat of the type locality was changed to dry land and freshwater pond before 1959 by reclamation projects. [details]
Type material Sato (2013: 25) states that the holotype (NSMT Pol H-549) and paratypes (NSMT Pol P-550) are deposited in the polychaete collection in Tsukuba Research Departments of National Museum of Nature and Science, Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. [details]
