Nomenclature The International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature has received a petition (Case 3755) to conserve the name Fasciolaria gigantea Kiener, 1840 against Fasciolaria papillosa Sowerby I, 1825. Existing usage is to be maintained until a decision is reached on the case, so Triplofusus giganteus is maintained as the valid name for this species. [details]
