An account is given of 102 species from an area reaching from the Persian Gulf and the waters near Mauritius in the West to Japan and New Caledonia in the East; main collecting areas are Gulf of Siam, off Java and the Moluccuas. One new genus, Pseudorhopalaea and 21 new species are described in the genera Clavelina (1), Eudistoma (1), Aplidium (3), Pseudorhopalaea gen.n. (1), Ecteinascidia (1), Phallusia (1), Polycarpa (2), Seriocarpa (2), Cnemidocarpa (2), Styela (1), Pyura (2), Molgula (2) and Eugrya (2). Redescriptive notes are given to the known species.
