Classification A group named for the superfamilies Cerithiopsoidea, Triphoroidea, Epitonioidea and Eulimoidea and therefore roughly equivalent to "Ptenoglossa". Not to be confused with Heteroglossa Gray, 1857, a long abandonned name originally proposed as a suborder of the Scutibranchia including gastropods currently held in the Patellogastropoda, and Polyplacophora, among others. [details]
