Type species Callomon & Petit [2004, Venus, suppl. 3: 19] cited Trichotropis insignis Middendorff, 1849, as the type species of Ariadnaria; this was the only species included in the genus by Habe. However, under Art. 67.8, the replaced name and the replacement name have the same type species, despite any statement to the contrary. [details]
