During a study of harpacticoid copepods from Korea, one species of the family Canuellidae was found and described; Scottolana bulbifera (Chislenko, 1971). This species occurred in the mud and sandy mud sediments. S. bulbifera was described originally from Possjet Bay in the East Sea, Russia and secondarily from the Bohai Sea, China. Through this study, the distribution area for the species expands to Gwangyang Bay, on the south coast of Korea.
