Homonymy Phyllodoce Lamarck, 1818 is conserved against Phyllodoce Ranzani, 1817 (Acoetidae, now Polyodontes), both in Polychaeta. A further apparent homonym, Phyllodoce Browne, 1789 in Hydrozoa is correctly spelled Phyllidoce and so is not relevant (and is also in a work suppressed for nomeclature). Phyllodoce Meyrick 1883 (New Zealand J. Sci., 1, 530) in Lepidoptera is a junior homonym to Phyllodoce Lamarck [details]From other sources
