Ravara, Ascensão; Aguado, María Teresa; Rodrigues, Clara F.; Génio, Luciana; Cunha, Marina R. (2019). Description of a new genus and species of Chrysopetalidae (Annelida: Polychaeta) from the NE Atlantic, with some further records of related species. European Journal of Taxonomy. 539:1-21., available online at https://doi.org/10.5852/ejt.2019.539

Etymology authors: "The genus name is a combination of the Greek words ‘krasis’, meaning ‘mixture’ or ‘combination’, and ‘schema’, meaning ‘characteristic’ or ‘figure’, in an allusion to the mixed characteristics [that the type species possesses] from the symbiont and free-living forms." The authors do not state the gender of the genus, and it cannot be inferred from the species-group name "thyasiricola", an invariant compound noun in apposition with -cola as a substantival suffix. Craseoschema is assumed to be neuter as the original 'skhema' ( in Greek σχῆμα) is a neuter noun, although in Latin schema is a feminine noun. [details]
