Taxonomy Schiaparelli & Jirkov (2016: 539) raise A. atlantica to full species status, stating that: "For both A. gunneri atlantica and A. gunneri japonica, the comparison of the holotypes of the two subspecies with topotypes of A. gunneri (Figure 7), and with the redescription of the type specimen of A. gunneri gunneri (conserved at the Zoologisk Museum, Oslo) made by Hartley (1985), shows differences in the shape of prostomium and paleal chaetae that are great enough to accept them as distinct species." [details]
