(Clark & Rowe, 1971); Australia (Rowe & Gates, 1995); Marshall islands and Tuamotus (Clark, 1954); Lakshadweeo (India) in Sastry (1991).
General distribution: from East Africa to Hawaii (Tortonese, 1980); tropical, Indo-Pacific Ocean, depth range 0-120 m. (Rowe & Gates, 1995); Western Atlantic and East coast of Africa to Hawaiian Islands (Sastry, 1991).
