Description P. средних и крупных размеров, субшарообразные, субквадратные и барабановидные, иногда сжатые по оси навивания, несколько вытянутые, с прямой, слегка вогну той или закругленной пупочной областью - Pseudostaffellidae; инвол., реже эвол. во внешн.об., навивание чаще симметричное, реже с колебанием оси в ранней стадии роста; септы многочисленные прямые, короткие; ст.р. трех-четырех- слойная с диафанотекой; хоматы от коротких слабых и умеренных в нач.об. до мощных лентовидных во внешн.об. Устье единичное, базальное. Ср.-в. карбон (касимовский ярус).
Tests medium to large in size, subspherical, subquadrate and subglobular, sometimes compressed along the coiling axis, somewhat elongated, with a straight, slightly concave or rounded umbilical regions and the same peripheral edge; involute, less often evolute in the outer whorl; coiling is often symmetrical, less often with oscillation of the axis in the early stage of growth; septa numerous, straight, short; wall three-four layered with diaphanotheca; Chomata from short weak and moderate in the beginning to powerful and ribbon-like in outer whorls. The aperture is simple, basal. Middle-Upper Carboniferous (Kasimovian stage).
