Diagnosis Test subtriangular in outline, early chambers milioline in arrangement, later planispiral and evolute, with three chambers per whorl, loosely coiled so that small gaps may occur between chambers, or rarely uncoiling with the final chamber extending away from the early part of the test; wall calcareous, imperforate, porcelaneous, surface may be ornamented with numerous longitudinal costae; aperture terminal, rounded, at the slightly constricted end of the final chamber, bordered by a narrow everted lip and provided with a small bifid tooth.
