Diagnosis Test small, discoidal, with slightly concave umbilical region, periphery rounded, coiling planispiral and involute in the early stage, four to five volutions, later ones may be evolute, final whorl greatly expanded in height and flaring, septa straight; wall of tectum and fine keriotheca, increasing in thickness in the later stage, small but distinct chomata present only in the inner whorls bordering the crescentic tunnel.
