Diagnosis Test elongate, early chambers one-half coil in length and quinqueloculine, later chambers may be added in a single plane, final stage with a few elongate rectilinear chambers; wall calcareous, imperforate, porcelaneous, thick, commonly with irregularly pitted surface and spongy structure; aperture terminal, rounded, bordered by numerous toothlike projections that may bifurcate, arising from the thickened margin of the opening.
