Diagnosis Test free, flaring, and spatulate to rhomboidal in outline, flattened to diamond shaped in section, with broad, low, biserially arranged chambers, and thickened and elevated sutures that form a peripheral keel and a median ridge along the zigzag suture; wall agglutinated, with quartz and calcium carbonate particles in a fine-grained ground mass and with very small micropores opening at the surface; aperture a high quadrangular opening at the base of the final chamber face, with a distinct bordering ridge on three sides, the lateral borders of the aperture being slightly constricted.
