Etymology The species is named in honour of Leslie Harris, Los Angeles County Museum (LACM), USA, ''for her constant support and help during our visits to the Los Angeles Museum'' (García-Garza et al., 2009: 815). [details]
Habitat Fine to coarse sandy beaches, sometimes with high content of organic matter and shells fragments, intertidal to about 1 m depth. [details]
Type locality El Tesoro beach, La Paz Bay, Baja California Sur, Gulf of California, 24° 15’ 16.1” N, 110° 18’ 55.4” W (24.254472°, -110.315389°), 1 m depth, sandy beach with low energy. [details]
