In this study 23 species of nereidids from the Greater Caribbean region collected in different expeditions from 1930 to 1970 are recorded: six species of Ceratonereis, five species each of Nereis and Perinereis, four species of Neanthes and one species each of Platynereis, Pseudonereis and Stenoninereis. Neanthes egregicirrata is removed from the genus Nereis, because no homogomph falcigers are present in the atokous form, which is herein described for the first time.
