Archinome gen. n., and Archinomidae fam. n., are erected for Euphrosine rosacea Blake, 1985, originally described from the Galapagos hydrothermal vents and referred to the Euphrosinidae (Annelida, Polychaeta, Amphinomida). The species is herein transferred to Archinome, comb. n., and designated the type species of the new genus and family. Relationships between the proposed and established taxa are discussed, and additional information is provided for the type species.
