Two new species of genus Austrophyllum (Phyllodocidae) and genus Macellicephala (Poly-noidae) are described. Specimens were collected from South Ocean as the First Chinese Antarc-tic and South Ocean Research Expedition. Holotype of the two new species are deposited in the First Institute of Oceanography, SOA, paratypes of Austrophyllum oculatum in the Second Institute of Oceanography, SOA.1. Austrophyllum oculatum sp. nov.(figs. 1-6)Length 80 mm with proboscis; width 4 mm with parapodia; segments number about 156. Dorsum dark brown, with secondary annulation. Prostomium thick, square, with tounded corners. A pair eyes present at the posterior part of prostomium, lateralfrontally to middle antenna. Everted proboscis measures 13 mm long. Papillae arrange diffusely in the proximal part of proboscis, form 6 broad longitudinal stripes in the distal part. Marginal papillae distinctly present at the distal end of proboscis. The distal part 4 times as long as the proximal part. Tenacularcirri long, threadlike, with pointed end; tentacular formula: 1+s1/1-s1/1 the first pairextends back to segment 8; the secoud (dorsal cirri on the 2nd segment) to segment 20; the third (ventral cirri on the 2nd segment) to segment 8: the fourth. to segment 14. First segment reduced partly and dorsally, overlapped by the posterior margin of prostomium. Parapodium biramous, notopodium has a thick, distally expanded dorsa cirrus, one embedded aciculum, and two setae with thin wing. Neuropodium long and thick; upper lip pointed and rather longer than the lower. Setae, about 35 in one fascicle, each having a thick articulation and a long, tapering, faint spinigerous appendage; the end of the shaft uniformly spinose. Ventral cirri with pointed end; their distal end directed upward. This species resembles A. sphaerocephala (Leyenstein, 1961). They are distinguished by the characters shown in table 1. (see Chinese text).2. Macellicephala australis sp. nov.(figs. 7-14)Length 12 mm; width 5 mm with parapodia, 2 mm without parapodia. Segments number 18; first segment achateous; last bne greatly reduced. Elyr 9 pairs, on segments 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17. Dorsal tubercles absent; nephridial papillae distinct on segment 10, 11, 12, Prostomium deeply bilobed, without eye; bulbous frontal lobes of prostomium with minute indistinct filaments; medi醤 antenna with large ceratophore in the middle of prostomium. Facial tuberc- le absent. Parapodia subiramous. Notosetae relatively few (l-6), with blunt tips and rows of faint spines, stouter than neurosetae. Neurosetae with d韘tinct spinous rows along lateral bor-ders, distally tapering rather abruptly to slightly hooked tips. Pharynx with 9 pairs of papillae and 2 pairs of jaws. Pygidium bulbous, medial to greatly reduced parapodia of segment 18.This new species differs from M. mirabilis(Mclntosh, 1885) and M. laubieri Reyss, 1971 in the characters shown in table 2. (see Chinese text).
